Key features of Aqua Way Cation:

  • Cationic temperature-responsive polymer (PIPAAm) is synthesized and grafted onto aminopropyl silica.
  • The surfaces of the grafted silica show charge properties at lower temperature and, as temperature increases, transform to uncharged properties.
  • Separation selectivity and retention are controlled by controlling column temperature. Higher the temperature, the shorter the retention time.

    Relative advantages of Aqua Way-Cation:

  • 100% aqueous solution! No gradient elution of high salt concentration needed! Avoid denaturation of targets.
  • Since NaCl solution is no longer required for Aqua Way Cation, bioactivities of your targeted anionic molecules can be maintained.
  • Save the cost and time required to demineralize the samples processed which is unavoidable for conventional ion-exchange HPLC.

    Applications:

  • Ideal for separation of small molecules, peptides and proteins with anionic charge properties.
  • Highly recommendable when use of NaCl solution is unfavorable.
  • Highly recommendable when bioactivity depends on ionic strength.
