Item Name: m-dPEG®4-Thiol

Item #: 10792

Mol. Wt.: 224.32;

single compound dPEG® Spacer is 14 atoms and 15.8 A

Product Features and Benefits: Methoxy-capped discrete PEG (dPEG®) spacer terminated with a thiol. Thiol is reactive with metal surfaces, other thiols, disulfides, maleimides, vinyl sulfones, and haloacetamides and incorporates the PEGylation spacer into all of these various functionality dPEG® PEGylation spacer is hydrophilic, highly water soluble, and non-immunogenic Useful for coating metal surfaces (e.g., gold) and for capping nanoparticles or other metal surfaces after reaction with, e.g., thiol-dPEG®x-acid or lipoamido-dPEG®x-acid Product handling and stability: Keep product under an inert atmosphere (dry nitrogen or argon recommended) to prevent oxidation to the disulfide. If oxidized to the disulfide, product can be reduced easily in water or aqueous buffer using TCEP (PN10014). Product is highly soluble in methylene chloride and ethyl acetate, as well as other common organic solvents. Product is also soluble in water. Product is not soluble in methyl tert-butyl ether or hexanes.
